I am less than twelve hours away from embarking on my world tour; these last few days have been full of planning and final preparations. In that time I have come across a number of websites that could help you in your future travel planning.
To and From the Airport
Have you ever wondered just how you were going to get from the airport to the main city centre, or a city a few dozen miles out? Well this website will help you easily bridge this gap to allow stress free departures.
World Airport Guide
Airport information is one of the few things that people seldom think about when planning travel. This website will get you up to date with everything you need to know. As well, there are city guides, and other useful resources found here.
Travel Library
There seem to be a great number of resources here, all ready to help answer your every question. It could, in theory, make world travel that much easier to understand and prepare for.
Travel Independent
Planning to backpack across - well, anywhere, really? This website has all the tips, tricks, and advice you need to safely navigate your tour-less travels.
B.U.G. Europe
This site specifically targets backpackers looking to visit Europe. It has almost everything you think you need to know.
Embassies Abroad
If you're looking to grab visas, and make your way from one country to another, I can't think of a more useful site than Embassies Abroad. Each country has a list of what countries their embassies can be found in. As well, it is complete with addresses and phone numbers.
Emergency Phone Numbers
You may be aware of 911, or 999, or whatever number is local to you - but there's a whole world out there, and each country seems to have their own set of numbers. Print out the ones you'll be needing - be prepared, and all that.
Wisebread: Travel Resources
40 websites that can save you loads of money when you travel. Lets be honest, who doesn't like stashing a few dollars here or there for that rainy day (which always seems to be upon us when travelling.)
